Sant Ambroeus, the trendy Italian restaurant group popular with Hollywood types, is joining forces with Sotheby’s to open the Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar at the auction house in New York.Inspired by Italian coffee bars in the 1950s, the café features rich mahogany paneling on its walls, and marble floors inspired by Gio Ponti’s geometric patterns, in cream, pale pink, and chocolate brown. Custom Murano glass pendants and sconces illuminate the space, which will offer coffee drinks and authentic Italian cuisine that draws from Sant Ambroeus’ Milanese roots, catering to food and art lovers.“Sant Ambroeus has become synonymous with the New York art world. It is the place where colleagues gather for business and pleasure and we are thrilled to create yet another destination in our galleries,” said Lisa Dennison, Chairman of Sotheby's North and South America.Sant Ambroeus Coffee Bar at Sotheby’s, which also includes an outdoor terrace, will be open Monday – Friday from 8:30 AM – 5:00 PM, Saturday from 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM & Sunday from 1:00 PM – 4:00 PM.
